Nothing splendid was ever created in cold blood. Heat is required to forge anything. Every great accomplishment is the story of a flaming heart.

About Kestrel Forging

Director and senior smith of Kestrel Forging, Richard Marchbank, has enjoyed ‘making stuff’, especially being creative with metal, for as long as he can remember. He’s a qualified boilermaker-welder, did a blacksmithing course, made his own forge, taught the trade for five years, and now spends as much time as he can making stuff with metal.

He especially likes the challenge of turning the old into new—recycling clearing sale and scrap metal finds.
